Liturgy Commitee

This committee helps prepare the liturgy for regular masses and special celebrations including the areas of prayer, song and the environment. Meetings are on the 2nd Monday of each month. Contact Heidi O’Toole at hjotoole1@comcast.net and Mary Versino at lmversino@comcast.net.

Eucharistic Ministers

These lay people assist the priest with the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ. Adults and teens are invited. Special training is provided to perform this function. Contact the Parish Office.

Altar Servers

This ministry helps the priest at the altar on weekends and holy days. Grammar and high school children (boys and girls) are eligible. Training is provided. Contact Ron Berger at retiredprin@comcast.net or Father Gosbert.

Lectors

The role of the lector involves the preparation of the Scripture texts before the Mass, the prayerful proclamation of the Old & New Testament readings, and the general intercessions. The role of the commentator involves relaying the opening announcements to the congregation, special announcements and the concluding announcements. Formation and training are provided. Adults & teens are invited to participate. Contact the Parish Office at 847-251-0771.

Ushers

These men and women welcome people to our Masses, answer questions, distribute bulletins & take up the collection. It does require a commitment to a specific Mass. Contact Rick Hawkinson at 847-251-3403.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word

C.L.O.W. provides the liturgy to children ages 5-9 (K-4th grades) during the 10:15 mass in a separate gathering space. The catechists have received special training to assist with this important ministry. Contact Diane Clarke at 847-256-5711 or e-mail at diane.clarke@mwrd.org.
